General Settings

Configure Recorded’s application settings. Open the settings window with the Settings (gear) button in the main window. It has five tabs: Account & License, Versions, Settings, Open Source, and Contact Us.

Account & License

Sign in to your Recorded account with Google or with your email (a 6-digit verification code is sent to you). Signing in is optional for recording and editing, but it’s required to share links, to export videos 25 seconds or longer (with Pro), and to use Pro features. This tab also shows your plan (Free or Pro) and license details. See License for more.

Versions

View the version of Recorded installed on your machine and your system information. Recorded checks for updates automatically — when a new version is available, an Update Available button appears in the main window. Click Install & Restart in this tab to update, or Check for Updates to check manually.

Settings

• Language — Choose the interface language from 14 supported languages: English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Thai, Turkish, and Vietnamese. The change takes effect immediately without restarting the app.
• Website — A link to the Recorded website.

Open Source

View the open source licenses and credits for the third-party libraries used in Recorded.

Send inquiries, bug reports, or feedback directly from the app (sign-in required) — we reply by email. You can optionally attach an image (such as a screenshot of the issue, up to 10 MB) to help the support team understand your problem.
